It is funny how Creation has a way of putting people in the right spot, at just the right time, in exactly the perfect circumstances that can allow another to meet someone that they thought they would never have the opportunity to meet. Creation put me in a path that gave me the chance to meet Jeff Zaslow – at a gathering at a home in Michigan were Jeff was going to speak about something he cared deeply about … other people.

A friend of mine is a former executive in the beauty industry. She had a successful salon, made people look beautiful – even was a leading sales person for one of the top beauty product distributors. But one day she realized that all that beauty could be deadly.

She is now a nurse… and an advocate for safe beauty products.

Being true to yourself and others is something that we should practice every day. Today is a wonderful time to remind ourselves and each other how truly important it is to be a leader to our fellow brothers and sisters. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ultimately paid with his life but, his works have not gone unnoticed. His life and work are celebrated. Let’s not stop there.

The Importance of Being Grounded

We hear about it all of the time. Become grounded by imagining roots coming from your feet, spreading out into Mother Earth. It sounds wonderful, but honestly, it is not how it works.

Many people are a bit perplexed with the notion of being rooted to the Earth like a tree. Part of the problem is that you might feel too rooted, and become stuck. The Earth is fluid, moving and dynamic.
